☕ Tea: 2 teaspoons of fruit (from the pharmacy) are poured with 1/4 liter of boiling water and allowed to steep for 5 minutes. Then strain and drink. Or you can make a cold extract: 2 teaspoons of senna leaves are poured over 1/4 liter of water and left to steep for at least 5 hours. Strain and warm a little. 1 to 2 cups are sufficient.

Emptying occurs approximately 5 to 6 hours after drinking tea.

🛑 Attention! Do not use senna during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if you have an intestinal obstruction. The contraceptive pill no longer provides protection against pregnancy.

Senna should not be used for long-term use because it interferes with the electrolyte balance. Therefore, the plant is used before or after surgery and when suffering from hemorrhoids or an anal fistula.

The Indian laburnum (Cassia fistula) is a relative of Sennes. This plant also contains weakened senna ingredients. The seeds are used in the tropical home countries as a detoxification agent, and the brown woody seed pods are also available here.
