Ingredients:

1 handful of hay flowers contains around 40 to 60 plant species with almost 1000 natural medicinal substances, coloring substances, resins, essential oils, the main active ingredient coumarin and trace elements


Miscellaneous:

Hay flowers are always used externally. Sebastian Kneipp was particularly convinced of them and helped many sick people with hay flower baths, hay flower sacks or hay flower pads.


Hay flowers contain the dried flowers and fruits of grasses.


🛑 If you have a grass allergy you should avoid it. In general, hay flower applications are not possible for allergy sufferers.


You can find ready-made hay flower pillows, hay flower compresses and also hay flower baths in pharmacies.


Hay flower steam: Put plenty of hay flowers in a pot and fill it with boiling water. The rising steam should reach the part of the body to be treated. Continue until no more steam rises.


🛀🏼 Hay flower bath: 1/2 kg of hay flowers are heated to boiling point with 3 to 5 liters of water and left to stand for 1/4 hour with the lid closed. You strain it and put the decoction in a full bath that should not be hotter than 38 degrees Celsius. The duration of the bath should not exceed 1/4 hour, after which bed rest is necessary. The bath is a helpful remedy for skin rashes, stomach and intestinal colic, poor circulation, liver, gallbladder and kidney problems, restlessness due to stress, but also for exhaustion.
